The Eggdrop Project takes its roots from Korea’s popular street food culture. At its heart, it’s a grilled toast made with special korean style buttermilk bread – a recipe we spent nearly a year perfecting to match our own unique taste.

Its soul lies in the carefully selected, high-quality ingredients that make it fresh, light, and surprisingly satisfying. But fair warning: one bite and you might be hooked!

OUR FOOD

We place a huge emphasis on selecting our ingredients, procuring as much as possible from local, trusted sources in our home nation.

We proudly use premium, farm-fresh eggs from Hungary’s finest free-range chickens — a key ingredient in bringing rich flavor and quality to every dish. The light, airy texture of our milk bread is meticulously crafted at the renowned Budapest bakery, Marmornstein, where quality standards are paramount.

Whether it’s vegetables, eggs, baked goods, or meat, our focus is always on top-notch quality. This commitment is what allows us to serve exceptional bites straight to your table.

What truly sets us apart, however, are our sauces—developed over several months of experimentation—to deliver a distinct, unforgettable kick to our Eggdrop toasts.

OUR STORY

During our recent travels we came across this incredible street food from South Korea, which is currently spreading it’s wings all across the world. Since we are already quite big fans of Asian cuisine, we recognised this product’s potential after just one taste.

Therefore it was a no-brainer that we could begin to develop our own version if it in house, which we can safely say turned out to be quote the hit! We truly think it was more than worth it to experiment for nearly a year.

The fact that we are the first to pioneer and undertake the production of eggdrop toasts here in Hungary fills us with utter joy.
